Q&A with Isaac Myran ’22 on applying Early Decision

Isaac MyranHometown/High School: Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia; Germantown Friends School

Major: Biology/Psychology

Activities: Men's Soccer

Why did you apply ED?
I applied ED because I thought Skidmore was the right fit for me out of all the schools that I looked at. The academics here are suited for my learning style by having small class sizes and being able to know my professors personally.

Best parts of your college experience?
Being able to make my own schedule and make my own routine without having conflicts in the way.

Most surprising moments?
Learning and realizing that college is for you and no one else, it is all up to you to pursue what you want and that you are really the only one who can get in your way.

Advice on applying ED?
Once you apply ED don’t think that your college process is over because there is always a chance that you won’t get in so my advice is that you should stay grinding, do not let your foot off of the gas pedal just because you hit submit.

Something most people don’t know about you?
In the off season away from soccer I like to run, I guess you can say that I am a runner. I have a goal on my bucket list which is to compete in a marathon before I turn 20 and I am aiming to achieve that goal in the springtime of this coming year.

Post-Skidmore plans or dreams?
I plan on living in London for a couple years before I continue my learning in graduate school.
