Career Jam is Skidmore's largest on-campus networking event of the year. Held annually during Celebration Weekend, this event brings parents, alumni, and students together for conversation around a topic on every student’s mind: careers.

CIC Logo

Skidmore College is a member of the Career and Internship Connections (CIC) consortium that sponsors an annual career fair and interview day in New York City over the January break. This event is an excellent opportunity for networking and interviewing for internships and full-time positions with 85+ employers.

Fall Internship Fair

Hosted through Handshake, the College's Fall Virtual Internship Fair is a Skidmore-exclusive opportunity connecting Skidmore students of all class years and majors to a variety of internship hosts --- from local partners to national brands. Skidmore Recruitment Week

Skidmore Recruitment Week is an event designed for prospective graduates featuring employers with job opportunities.  The initiative offers Skidmore seniors potential opportunity to interview with multiple companies.  In the past, invited employers have included multiple organizations from different industries that are typically connected to Skidmore parents or alumni, or companies that have historically recruited and hired from Skidmore.  Learn more.

Career Community Events

Career Community Events are held throughout the academic year and hosted by the Career Development Center. These events and tours are community-specific,  bringing industry professionals and students together.  Examples include the Wall Street 101 and Consulting 101 panel events, the Media & Entertainment tour in New York City, and a Health Professions Panel and Reception.  Students should to view an ongoing calendar of career events.
