2025 CHAS Student of Color Conference

Founded in 2000, the Consortium on High Achievement and Success (CHAS) is the oldest liberal arts-focused consortium in the U.S. dedicated to student of color achievement. We envision an inclusive higher education environment where institutions support students of color in reaching the highest levels of intellectual achievement, personal growth, and professional development. The 2025 CHAS Conference will continue this mission, offering a collaborative space for sharing best practices, research, and strategies.

This year's theme is Intersectionality: Grappling with Multiple, Overlapping, & Opposing Truths.
Internal and external factors and experiences create our realities and make us who we are. Critical examinations and understandings of the intersecting elements of our individual and collective realities help us improve interpersonal relationships, communities, and our overall collective existence.

The purpose and driving force of this conference is to invite critical and intentional examination and interrogation of the overlapping, intertwined, and sometimes conflicting elements that make up who we are and to provide an equitable space for all to come, consider, and grow through dialogue and discourse.

Click to register for the conference. Please note, while attendance at the CHAS Conference is free for students and staff at schools belonging to the CHAS Consortium, we do ask that every attendee registers so that the conference committee can offer the best possible conference experience. Thank you!
