Skidmore breaks ground on the new McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center, providing a holistic approach to student health and wellness.

A Skidmore Treasure Finds its Way Home
A little bit of serendipity and a whole lot of heart helped the Skidmore community rediscover a lost treasure from the College’s history and create an enduring symbol of the College Centennial.
Honoring the leaders who shape Skidmore
- President Emeritus Philip A. Glotzbach is recognized for transforming Skidmore into a leading liberal arts college.
- The late David H. Porter, who served as president from 1987 to 1999, left an enduring mark on Skidmore. 
- A “pioneer and leader among women in higher education,” Vice President and Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid Mary Lou Bates retires after 49 transformative years.
- New leaders were welcomed, including new Board of Trustees Chair Jon Achenbaum ’77 and vice presidents Dorothy Mosby, Daniel Konstalid, Jessica Ricker, Elizabeth Stauderman, and Sarah Delaney Vero.
