Skidmore Spotlight: Carol Lloyd
Carol Lloyd works as an administrative assistant in the Psychology Department.
Lloyd joined Skidmore 36 years ago — in the Admissions office — because she says she was drawn to the beautiful educational setting and the idea of working with interesting colleagues and students. “My longevity here speaks volumes that it really is the best place to work,” she said.
At Skidmore, Lloyd has enjoyed taking classes and lessons such as tennis and Zumba, as well as an Indian dance class. She also enjoys attending exhibits and concerts at Zankel and the Tang.
“I am very thankful indeed for Skidmore’s excellent benefits!” Lloyd said.
Lloyd also enjoys volunteering at Commencement and attending and supporting her colleagues at the Retirement and Recognition Luncheon. Soon colleagues will be attending her retirement; Lloyd will be retiring Jan. 7, 2019. “It’s been a pleasure working at Skidmore and I’m very grateful for the opportunities and wonderful friendships I’ve made,” she said.
When not at Skidmore, Lloyd enjoys working in her gardens, reading, providing care to her elderly parents, spending time with family and friends and taking many walks with her dog Charlie.
