Diane BarnesDiana Barnes, senior teaching professor of Spanish, was featured in the in Juárez, Mexico, for starting a bi-national, collaborative art project for shelter kids with participation on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. Art from the project will be exhibited this semester at Skidmore as part of her Scribner Seminar coursework.

Barnes was also the keynote speaker at an August rally in Glens Falls supporting immigrant rights and was quoted in an article in .  

Jenny DayJenny Day, associate professor of history, published a book, “” (Cambridge University Press, 2018). A one-hour interview about the book with was recently published.
 
Also, Day recently published an op-ed in the Times Union, titled "," about the imprisonment of a Princeton University scholar by Iran.

Joowan ParkJoowon Park, assistant professor of anthropology, was recently appointed to the South Korean President’s National Unification Advisory Council.
