Skidmore Spotlight: John Clarke
John Clarke works as a clerk in Skidmore’s Post Office, processing and delivering
packages to the students and departments on campus.
He joined Skidmore in early 2008 as an employee in Facilities Services and transitioned
to his role in the Post Office eight years later.
In the Case Center office, which processes and delivers an average of 1,000 packages
a day, Clarke and his co-workers have a friendly competition to see who can deliver
the most.
“I think what I like the most about working at Skidmore are all of the incredible
friendships I've gained over the years,” he said.
When not on campus, Clarke enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking the
Adirondack High Peaks, hosting porch parties and working on his new house. He also
volunteers for the Alzheimer's Association Chapter of Upstate New York, organizing
annual events like the Rouillard Brothers' Classic Golf Tournament.
