Skidmore Spotlight: Sarah Condon-Meyers
Staff Photographer Sarah Condon-Meyers photographs major College events (including Commencement and Reunion), lectures, athletic competitions and everyday campus life. Her images are featured in Skidmore news stories (such as this photo essay), in Scope magazine, in marketing materials, through social media accounts and in many other outlets.
“Combining my love of documenting a college community with my camera in one of my favorite cities in the United States sounded like the perfect job for me,” said Condon-Meyers, who joined Skidmore at the beginning of 2020. “The culture of the Saratoga Springs community combined with Skidmore students’ and faculty members’ enthusiasm and drive for their passions continue to inspire me on every assignment I photograph.”
Condon-Meyers said she appreciates Skidmore’s supportive community and beautiful campus. “People are positive, friendly and welcoming, making it a great place to work,” she said. “I love the tall trees that line the winding pathways. It’s nice that nature is incorporated into the campus.”
Condon-Meyers, who also contributes to video coverage, has enjoyed the opportunity to document Skidmore’s campus throughout the pandemic. “I feel very lucky that I get to be on campus photographing,” she said. “It has been a highlight throughout this strange year.”
When she is not at Skidmore, Condon-Meyers enjoys spending time with family, riding her horse on trails and going on adventures with her two rescue beagles.
