Paul Benzon, assistant professor of English, has co-edited an issue of ASAP/Journal, the journal of the Association for the Study of the Arts of the Present, on the topic of "" He also published an with co-editor Rita Raley (English, UC Santa Barbara) and an in the issue.

Veena Chandra, private music instructor, at Fresno State University as part of a program highlighting how India's classical music can help deal with stress, trauma, and disconnectedness.

Jennifer T. Cholnoky, senior lecturer of geosciences, presented at the colloquium “STEM in the Museum: Teaching Skills and Content through Art,” co-sponsored by the Yale University Art Gallery and the Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning. The colloquium highlighted innovative art-based pedagogies and teaching practices that enhance student learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) courses.

Candice C. Chu, visiting assistant professor of art, published an article about the poetry and art-writing of for The Brooklyn Rail.  

Kristofer Covey, assistant professor of environmental studies and sciences, presented to the California State Board of Food and Agriculture on The Soil Inventory Project’s proposed research under its recent USDA Climate Smart Commodities award. 

Heather Hurst, associate professor of anthropology, is the first-place awardee for the ICOMOS Culture-Nature Prize, with Boris Beltrán (San Bartolo-Xultun Regional Archaeological Project) and Angelyn Bass (University of New Mexico). Their project, titled “,” received recognition for “significant contributions to the heritage field in innovative and effective ways.” Follow updates on the San Bartolo project on Instagram and Twitter @sbxproject. 

Aurelie Matheron, assistant professor of French, published an article in International Journal of Francophone Studies. The article explores how the installation “” by Malagasy artist Amalia Ramanankirahina intersects colonial plantations and a French Parisian orchard to decolonize contemporary French ecological thinking.  

Oscar A. PĂ©rez, associate professor of Spanish, and Viviana Rangil, professor of Spanish, published the chapter “CLAC at a SLAC: A Distinctive Model for Teaching Languages Across the Curriculum in the Context of a Small Liberal Arts College” in the volume â€śCultures and Languages Across the Curriculum in Higher Education Harnessing the Transformative Potentials of CLAC Across Disciplines.” , they describe the unique characteristics of the Language Across the Curriculum (LAC) program at Skidmore.
