Faculty-Staff Achievements
Catherine J. Golden, professor of English, published “The Girls of Goblin Market: Temptation and Fall” in (Issue 71, spring 2022: 6-15). In addition, Golden was appointed pedagogy consultant on the Advisory Board of the Collective Organization for Virtual Education (COVE), sponsored by the North American Victorian Studies Association (NAVSA). On Jan. 19, she co-led a for COVE on using timelines, maps, and galleries.
Ryan Overbey, assistant professor of religious studies and Asian studies, delivered an invited lecture and ran a seminar for graduate students at the in London. The lecture and workshop focused on his recent research on the Consecration Sutra, a medieval Chinese Buddhist book of spells.
Lucas Perelló, visiting assistant professor of political science, recently published an article, “Jumpstarting Ideological Alignments in Clientelist Party Systems: Evidence from Honduras’s 2009 Coup,” in Studies in Comparative International Development.
Maryuri Roca, senior teaching professor of chemistry, published a research article in the journal Langmuir, “,” with co-authors Julia Danischewski ’21, Destiny Donelson ’21, Maleeha Farzansyed ’22, Erin Jacoski ’22, Haru Kato ’23, and Quincy Lucin ’21.
