Joerg Bibow, professor of economics, published "J.M. Keynes’ Tract on Monetary Reform (1923) After 100 Years — A Retrospective" in .

Joseph Cermatori, associate professor of English, published three articles. His pieces "Seeking the Universal Amid Ruins" and “Homage to Hans-Thies Lehmann” were published in separate issues of the Italian journal . Meanwhile, a third essay, an extended review essay on the hybrid-genre film "The New Gospel," was published in this year’s issue of . Cermatori also recently appeared on the new podcast “,” discussing his book "Baroque Modernity: An Aesthetics of Theater."

Ben Harwood, lead instructional technologist in LEDS, and Alex Carney '22, delivered a presentation entitled, "Roll with your own API: Skidmore’s first data streaming API," at The event took place at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia, in June.

Stephen Ives, associate professor and associate chair of health and human physiological sciences, and Justin DeBlauw, visiting assistant professor of health and human physiological sciences, published a paper "Heart rate variability of elite female rowers in preparation for and during the national selection regattas: a pilot study on the relation to on water performance" in . The article was co-authored by Carolyn Blackman '22, Melissa Haas '22, Seraya Makle '22, and Isis Echvarria '22, and is the result of a collaboration with Saratoga Rowing Association's elite development rowing team.

Bruce Murray has been appointed as director of Facilities, where he will report to Assistant Vice President for Facilities Dan Rodecker and provide direct leadership for the maintenance and operations for all Facilities buildings and infrastructure. Murray has held multiple roles at the College in the past, including assistant director of Facilities. Recently, Murray oversaw the revitalization of Skidmore’s Broadway Street entrance. 

Feryaz Ocakli, associate professor of political science and international affairs, received a U.S. Fulbright Scholar award and published an article in , titled "Food Has Become the Weapon of Choice in International Conflict."

Robert ParkeHarrison, professor of art, and Shana ParkeHarrison present their collaborative works of art in a solo exhibition, “Earth Elegies,” at the in Little Rock, AR, from Sept. 11 to Oct. 3. 

Professor Emerita of History Margaret Pearson’s book  is now available in Portuguese, Romanian, and Spanish.

Patrick Reilly, assistant professor of economics, and Peter von Allmen, professor and chair of economics, published "When the Stars Are Out: The Impact of Missed Games on NBA Television Audiences" in the . 

Michael Swellander, visiting assistant professor of German, won the Max Kade Prize for Best Article in .  The German Quarterly is one of the top journals in Anglo-American German studies, and the award, supported by the Max Kade Foundation, is given by the journal's editorial board. 

Scott Wood has been appointed assistant director of Facilities, where he will report to Director of Facilities Bruce Murray. As assistant director, Wood will oversee the day-to-day operations of housekeeping, grounds, maintenance, trades, and event setups, as well as the facilities work order system. Prior to this role, Wood had been working as a trades manager at Skidmore.
