Inhabiting/Excavating/Sustaining: Understanding This Place

Paul Mendes-Flohr, Jodi Magness and Michael Ben-Eli in conversation, presented by the Tang Museum and the Office of Special Programs

This conversation brings together scholar Paul Mendes-Flohr, the Dorothy Grant Maclear Professor of Modern Jewish History and Thought at the University of Chicago Divinity School; archaeologist Jodi Magness, the Kenan Distinguished Professor for Teaching Excellence in Early Judaism at UNC-Chapel Hill; and international consultant Michael Ben-Eli, founder of the Sustainability Laboratory. Together they will lead a public conversation about 鈥渢his place鈥� through three interrelated lenses: the identities and communities that inhabit the land, understanding the land through its archaeology and the complex environmental issues around sustaining the land.

Co-presented by the Tang Museum and the Office of Special Programs. 

This event, part of the exhibition , is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception.
