Event Policies  

 

Protection of Minors 

Skidmore College is committed to the safety of all individuals in its community.  The College has particular concern for those most vulnerable, including minor children, who require an increased level of care and protection. This Policy establishes guidelines for those in the Skidmore community with the goal of maintaining a safe and positive experience for minors, encourage parental confidence, and avoid mistaken allegations.

Title IX 

Skidmore College is committed to promoting a campus environment where sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking and exploitation are not tolerated, and where every member of the community is expected to do their part to prevent and address violence. The college also is committed to providing survivors and all community members affected by sexual and relationship violence support and avenues of redress as appropriate. Sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking are violations of Skidmore College policy and crimes as defined by the State of New York.

Non-smoking Policy 

Skidmore College is a smoke-free and tobacco-free campus. All areas of campus are designated smoke-free and tobacco-free.

Pet Policy 

For health and safety reasons, unapproved pets are not permitted. If an unapproved animal is found in residential buildings, the owner will be asked to remove it from the premises immediately and will be charged a deep cleaning fee of $300. If applicable, see our therapy animal authorization requirements, and contact conferences-events@skidmore.edu for final approval.
